Dear Client,
We will be upgrading our primary storage appliances in Enfield and Welwyn Garden City over the next few nights. We do not anticipate any downtime as such but there will be some short (30 seconds) slowdowns where machine traffic will be held and webpages etc may not respond.
We will be starting this work at 11pm on Tuesday night with Welwyn Garden City first, then 11pm Wednesday night for Enfield, and then a final update to both sites at 11pm Thursday for WGC and 11:30pm Thursday for Enfield.
We have already completed failover tests between the appliances to ensure that there will be minimum impact and no expected downtime. This work is essential for the good and stable operation of our infrastructure and has been carefully planned and checked with Dell, our hardware supplier, to ensure it goes as smoothly as possible.
