Further to the issues experienced last night we have some fixes to roll out to the connectivity of our network to ensure that it is resilient and stable. We will be re-routing connections to different routers and switches internally to improve throughput and reduce failure scenarios between 10pm and 1am tonight. There are likely to be some short periods of downtime (1 or 2 minutes) while we make these changes, possibly up to ten minutes in total across the maintenance window.
We apologise for the short notice of these changes but feel they are necessary in order to reduce the overall risk to the system. There will be further changes later this week or next as we complete the upgrade to bring you a more reliable hosting environment. We will be keeping downtime to a minimum and will be sending notifications out with as much notice as possible.
We also apologise again for the outage last night, it was not expected, but our engineers worked to fix the issues and bring our internet connectivity online as soon as possible. We are confident that the fixes last night and tonight will mean that the specific issue encountered will not happen again.
